Terms of Service
Last updated: [Date]
[Company Legal Name], [Governing State/Jurisdiction], and [support@yourdomain.com] below with real values, and have this document reviewed by counsel.1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of GrantSprout (the “Service”), operated by [Company Legal Name] (“we,” “us,” or “GrantSprout”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
GrantSprout helps small nonprofits and solo grant seekers track a grant pipeline, manage deadlines and requirements, store related documents, and log post-award outcomes. The Service is a tracking and organization tool; it does not submit applications to funders on your behalf and does not guarantee funding outcomes.
3. Accounts & Eligibility
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Each account is associated with one organization. You must be authorized to act on behalf of the organization you register.
4. Subscription & Payment Terms
GrantSprout offers a free tier and a paid subscription tier. Paid subscriptions are billed through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; your paid access continues through the end of the period you’ve already paid for. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
5. User Content & Data Ownership
You retain ownership of the organization, grant, and document data you enter or upload into the Service (“User Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, store, and process User Content solely to provide the Service to you. We act as a data processor for your User Content, not as its owner.
6. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on the following sub-processors to operate:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
- Stripe — payment processing for paid subscriptions.
- Brevo — transactional email, including deadline reminders.
7. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Service to store or transmit unlawful content, attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or organizations’ data, or interfere with the Service’s normal operation.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or have unpaid, overdue balances, with notice where practical.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. In particular, the readiness score shown against each grant is a rule-based estimate, not a guarantee of funding — always verify requirements against the actual funder guidelines. To the maximum extent permitted by law, GrantSprout is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Governing State/Jurisdiction].
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
